How To Massage Indian Head


The Indian head massage, also known by the term "Champissage" (Champi - Indian word for massage + massage), is based on ancient Ayurvedic form of healing that dates back almost 4,000 years ago. It acts on the three higher chakras: Vishuddha, Ajna and Sahasrara, and can be used for the physical harmony, for healing, for vitality, and for a good old fashioned relaxation. Part 1 of 3: Preparation and Early Stages

Click preparations.
 Find a quiet place away from distractions. Make sure that the room has a comfortable temperature.
Put soft music.

Turn on the candles to prepare the room.

Make sure that the person takes a chair and puts you at ease. Explain what you do and tell him to alert you to any discomfort or pain. Get behind him, resting your hands lightly on his shoulders and both do a few deep breaths.

Massage the shoulders. Start by loosening the tiredness and tension by massaging the upper back, shoulders, arms, and neck. Gently squeeze the trapezius muscle (at the base of the neck), starting near the neck. He works out of the shoulders. Repeat this process three times, increasing the pressure on each pass

Work on the spine. Take your hands back near the neck with his thumb open, and make small circles with your thumbs on either side of the spine just below the neck line.

Massages over the shoulders. Put your forearms on the sides of the neck and move them outward toward the shoulder by rotating your wrists. If they are rotated, raises forearms and move them to a couple of inches from the neck and repeat. When you reach the shoulder, back to center and repeat two more times.

Part 2 of 3: Massage the Neck

 Work up to the base of the skull. Continue doing circles in the back of the neck, to reach the hair line. Lowers his hands back and repeat two more times.

Part 3 of 3: Massage the Head
